During the early 1900’s a young Russian immigrant, Isodore
Plotkin, made a living pushing a junk cart around from house to
house collecting rags and other castoff items. He then would
sell the odds and ends to whomever was interested for a few
pennies per transaction.
By the end of 1919, he had saved enough money to rent a small
Main St. storefront and fill it with furniture. From those
humble beginnings to the major furniture store in the Keene N.H.
area, the business is now run by the 3rd generation of the
Plotkin family. |
